The University Central Library is located in the Main Campus of the University at Vellanikkara, Thrissur, adjacent to Thrissur – Palakkad National Highway. The four-storied memorial building has a total plinth area of 40,000 square feet with adequate furniture and equipment of international standards, suitable for an advanced library. The Library is equipped with state of the art hardware, software, power backup and IT Labs for modern library and information services, including WiFi facility.
University Central Library functions on all days, including Second Saturdays and Sundays, except Public holidays.
The working hours are as follows:
Week days : 8 am to 8 pm
Sundays : 8 am to 2.15 pm

Document Resources
The collection of information resources in print and electronic media covers all subjects in the thrust areas of the University plus subjects of general interest. Central Library is the repository of M.Sc. / Ph.D theses submitted to various faculties of the University. The prestigious collection of back volumes of Indian and Foreign Journals is the centre of attraction to the students, teachers and scientists all over India. DVDs related to contemporary issues such as Biotechnology, Climate change, Water, Tsunami, Pollution, Renewable energy, etc. are also available.
